Rain Sells Out First Ever Speaking Event at TiE Ottawa

Ottawa, ON, (March 12, 2024) – At the end of last month, Rain Technologies was invited to share their story and reflect on the present state of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) as they see it. This marked the first event in which Rain, as a company, was invited to speak and present to other members of the Ottawa business community.

The team was overjoyed to learn that through a combined marketing effort between Rain and TiE Ottawa, the event was sold out to capacity. This moment solidified Rain as a leading innovator of the financial planning and analysis sector, within the city. 

The event – TiE Talk – provided a platform for Rain Technologies to share its remarkable journey to date, showcasing a sense of unwavering resilience amidst challenges and triumphs. The theme of the evening was transparency, so founders Alexandre Labreche and Vanessa Galarneau were determined to ‘tell their story how it really happened.’ 

“As a company who has attending countless TiE events in the past, being invited to speak at our very own event was an unbelievable honour for our young company,” said Alex, Founder and CEO of Rain, “we can’t wait to work more closely with TiE on these type of events in the future!”

While the moment marked a significant milestone for Rain Technologies, it also underscored the company’s commitment to continued growth and community engagement. Looking ahead, as Rain releases its next product – Pluvo – it is expected that the founding team will participate in even more speaking events. 

“It was fantastic to see such an overwhelming sense of support from the community. To me, it seems as though people are really looking forward to Pluvo, so it will be interesting to see what type of talk we give one year from now,” added Vanessa Galarneau, CFO of Rain Technologies.
